why am i making a website? a friend inspired me, then twitter went to shit, and then i collected language resources one too many times. i said fuck it, i'm not scouring my discord servers for language resources when i can just make a website and put all of them together so that i can send the website to people. i added the other tabs because i realized i could.

you can call me jade. i go by other names online too but that's the main one. you can also call me yujiang or 玉醬 because that's basically just jade-chan.

i "speak" english and mandarin chinese, and i can read spanish enough to be able to mostly read french. i've got some extremely basic literacy in japanese and indonesian and bulgarian, but that's about it on my journey towards being a polyglot eventually. the list of languages i've studied is pretty long if you stretch the definition of studying, but i've got resources for even more languages than that. when i get around to making my language resources pages, i'll link it here. i've dabbled and/or studied most of the languages on that list. except slovak. i don't know where i found the slovak resources because i've never studied slovak and neither have any of my friends.

i've also been really into conlanging since high school and been really into alternate history projects as a coping mechanism when i was taking physical chemistry and biochemistry at the same time in undergrad. i would not recommend taking physical chemistry and biochemistry at the same time in undergrad. inspired by the ill bethisad project, particularly wenedyk, i think i'll try to make a page for showcasing my alternate history project(s) featuring my current a posteriori conlang fongzongese.

the current fandoms i'm into are something, that's for sure. i do, in fact, still play genshin impact and honkai star rail. i also started playing zenless zone zero on release day at like 2am, but i'm still in the tutorial missions, so you can imagine how serious i am about zzz. actually been pretty into hetalia lately, but strictly with rarepairs and the alternate history version of hetalia that would go with my alternate history projects. i've also read all of scum villain's self saving system (svsss) and a good amount of grandmaster of demonic cultivation (mdzs), and i own all 8 english volumes of heaven official's blessing (tgcf).

i write a lot and translate occasionally. some of my translations are on tumblr, and at least one of them is on dreamwidth.

i had a thing here about "oh jade, you interacted with someone problematic!" and like, yeah, when i wrote it, i thought it'd be worth adding, but now i don't really care anymore. average twitter/tumblr fanpol isn't going to be looking at my neocities website to learn more about me, and i don't even have much of a presence on places where they gravitate to (twitter/tiktok/tumblr/instagram). good riddance. just block and let block.

oh yeah, last thing. about tab is about me. languages is language learning resources. fandoms lists my fandoms, some ships, and some works. other is a surprise tool that will help us later.
